‘આલ્ફા’ એ ગ્રીક વર્ણમાલાના પ્રથમ વર્ણનું નામ છે અને ‘ઓમેગા’ એ છેલ્લા વર્ણનું નામ છે. ‘Alpha and Omega’ એટલે આદિ અને અંત… કર્તાનાં નામની જાણકારી નથી.
To Jesus Christ be glory given,
By all on earth; by all in heaven:
Let this dominion wide extend,
His glorious kingdom never end.
For He of all that’s good and true,
Is Alpha and Omega too,
The fount of life, the source of light,
The spring of every true delight.
Beginning, Ending, God and Man,
His inmost being none can scan;
But in his Human Form Divine
The first and last united shine.
Who is, who was, who is to come,
Eternal infinite I AM;
The Lord Almighty God most high!
Amen let Heaven and Earth reply.
